The Webster City girls open postseason play at home here Wednesday night when they host Boone. Tip is set for 7 p.m. With a win, the Lynx (8-13 overall) would advance to a Class 4A, Region 2 semifinal at No. 2 Dallas Center-Grimes (19-2) on Saturday night. In the other 4A regional quarterfinal, Ballard faces Fort Dodge, with that winner heading to Pella. The regional final is scheduled for Feb. 24. MONROE — The season came to an end for the South Hamilton boys here Monday night. But not without a fight. Despite falling twice to PCM by lopsided scores during the regular season, the Hawks gave the Mustangs everything they could handle before coming up short, 57-50, in a Class 2A, District 5 affair.
