Webster City boys gain experience at stacked North Polk Invite

ALLEMAN — The Webster City boys track and field team had a strong showing here Tuesday night at the North Polk Invitational. The Lynx placed seventh overall in a field with several Class 4A powers, including winner West Des Moines Dowling. The host Comets were second, followed by Johnston, Ankeny, Roland-Story and Ballard. JEFFERSON — The Webster City girls golf team dropped a dual to Greene County here Tuesday at The Hill Golf Course, 208-223. Alleyna Dawson led the way for the Lynx, as the senior carded a round of 49. Dawson tied for medalist, losing out on the tiebreaker. The Webster City boys tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Clear Lake on Monday afternoon. Nathan Wardell pushed his match to a super-tiebreaker after splitting two sets with Walker Willams at the No. 1 singles spot.
