JEFFERSON — The Webster City girls golf team dropped a dual to Greene County here Tuesday at The Hill Golf Course, 208-223.

Alleyna Dawson led the way for the Lynx, as the senior carded a round of 49. Dawson tied for medalist, losing out on the tiebreaker.

Hayden McCoy followed with a 54, as Kenley Koop and Ellie Peterson both fired rounds of 60. Carli Jessen rounded out the scoring with a 65.

“It was nice to get right back on the course,” WCHS head coach Jeff Lyons said. “Now, we’ll have a couple meets a week from here on out.

“Alleyna had a nice round, as did Hayden. The girls played much better (compared to last week).”

Taylor Johnston of Greene County was the meet medalist with a 49.

Webster City heads to Fort Dodge and Lakeside Golf Course on Thursday for a North Central Conference triangular with St. Edmond and Charles City.
