Lynx boys fall to Nevada

The Webster City boys tennis team was unable to keep the momentum going from a big win earlier this week going here Tuesday night, falling to Nevada by a 9-0 count.

Nathan Wardell and Vincent Bittner each won a game in their singles matches, as did the two in different doubles matches.

“While the scores didn’t go our way, I thought we played some of our best tennis and made some great strides,” WCHS head coach Mark Fisher said. “Everyone wants to see the results and wins, but the process and getting better every day regardless of the outcome is important.

“Nevada is a good team with six seniors that have been playing since they were ninth-graders.”

The doubles team of Pryor Taylor and Erik Blankenship earned a junior varsity win.

The Lynx take on Clear Lake at home on Monday.

Starting at $3.46/week.
