GRUNDY CENTER — The Webster City boys tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Grundy Center here Tuesday. James Elliott won two games at No. 5 singles while Nathan Wardell and Vincent Bittner each tallied one. Lynx boys exact revenge on St. Edmond in tennis

After falling to St. Edmond in dual action earlier this year, the Webster City boys tennis team avenged that defeat with an 8-1 victory here Monday evening. MASON CITY — The Webster City girls golf team secured a Top-5 finish here Monday at the North Central Conference meet. The Lynx shot a 405, placing fifth overall and just four strokes behind Humboldt. Clear Lake won with a 347 followed by Algona and Iowa Falls-Alden. ALGONA — The Webster City boys track and field team appears to be finding the right stride ahead of postseason action. The Lynx won two events and had nine others place in the Top-5 here Thursday night at the North Central Conference meet. Webster City finished fourth overall behind Clear Lake, Algona and Iowa Falls-Alden. The Webster City girls track and field team had a strong showing here last Thursday as they hosted the North Central Conference meet. Overall, the Lynx earned three titles and had five others place in the Top-3. Algona was crowned the meet champions, winning 10 events.
