Webster City boys tennis falls on the road
GRUNDY CENTER — The Webster City boys tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Grundy Center here Tuesday.
James Elliott won two games at No. 5 singles while Nathan Wardell and Vincent Bittner each tallied one. In doubles, Wardell and Sage Bock, along with Bittner and Fabian Ferto-Holdgrafer, each won a game.
“Grundy Center has built a nice culture in boys tennis,” WCHS head coach Mark Fisher said. “I told our guys after that weather it was 6-0 or 0-6, there’s always something you can learn from on the courts.
“I think we definitely took some lessons away and will carry those over and continue to build upon them.”
The Lynx are back in action Thursday at Union.
before heading to Boone for Class 1A district play on Saturday.
