Lynx will compete in regional duals
The Webster City wrestling team is one of four North Central Conference squads to qualify for the upcoming regional duals.
The Lynx will face Glenwood next Tuesday for the right to wrestle Sergeant Bluff-Luton.
Each winner of the eight districts qualifies for the state dual tournament, which is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 3 in Coralville from the Xtream Arena.
Algona is a host in 2A, as the Bulldogs will meet the winner between Hampton-Dumont/CAL and New Hampton/Turkey Valley. Humboldt also qualified, as they face Williamsburg with the winner of that facing Ballard.
Other 2A host schools include Independence, West Delaware, Creston, Mount Vernon and Osage.
Webster City is led by first-year head coach Drake Doolittle, a former Lynx state champion and ex-Duke University wrestler.
