Webster City Gateway Industrial Park ribbon cutting is Thursday

The City of Webster City, Hamilton County Growth Partnership, and the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce invite community members, business leaders, elected officials, and regional partners to attend a ribbon cutting celebration recognizing a major milestone in Webster City’s economic development efforts.

The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Briggs Woods Conference Center, 2501 Briggs Woods Trail, Webster City.

Recently designated as an Iowa Certified Site, the Webster City Gateway Industrial Park has completed an extensive review process confirming its readiness for future development opportunities. The certification verifies critical factors including infrastructure, utility access, environmental considerations, and site preparedness, helping position Webster City for continued business growth, job creation, and investment.

The ribbon cutting celebration will feature remarks from Debi Durham, director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority, along with local leaders who have played a role in bringing the project to this important milestone.

“The Iowa Certified Site designation demonstrates Webster City’s commitment to economic growth and readiness for future development opportunities,” said local organizers. “This certification provides confidence to site selectors, developers, and businesses looking to invest in communities that are prepared for growth.”

Guests attending the free event will have an opportunity to learn more about the certification process, the future vision for the industrial park, and the economic opportunities it creates for Webster City and the surrounding region.

Refreshments, including water, soft drinks, and cookies, will be provided.

Due to venue capacity, attendance is limited to 100 guests. Those planning to attend are encouraged to RSVP in advance.

Starting at $3.46/week.
