Nearly 80 drivers compete at Hamilton ounty speedway

Nearly 80 drivers were in action at the Bob and Dean Flaws Memorial competition on Saturday night at the Hamilton County Speedway.

Ben Nading of Ankeny won the USRA Modifieds feature race, with Lee Beemer of Fairmont, Minn. finishing as the runner-up. In the USRA Stock Cars event, Derek Green of Granada, Minn. topped Kelly Shryock of Fertile for gold in the A feature. The B feature went to Justin Custer of Liberty, Mo., with Greene’s Xander Treichel garnering silver.

Ty Griffith of Blairsburg took the USRA B-Mods feature event over Jake Richards of Lansing, Kan. The USRA Hobby Stocks feature race was taken by Joshua Monson of Clear Lake. Scott Dobel of Manly placed second.

Nate Hogan of Fort Dodge was the Crown Vics feature winner. John Berg of Creston finished second.

Next racing action will be this Saturday with the Bill Rice Memorial featuring the Tri-State Late Model Series. Along with the regularly-scheduled Hamilton County Speedway classes, there will be a $3,000 prize for the Tri-State Late Models feature event winner.
