CLEAR LAKE — The Webster City boys soccer team suffered a tough 1-0 loss to Clear Lake here last Thursday night. JEFFERSON — The Webster City girls track and field team braved quickly-dropping temperatures to compete here on Friday night at the Ram Early Bird hosted by Greene County. Over a dozen other schools joined the Lynx, who came away with a number of Top-5 performances. Janey Putney had herself a game, as the Webster City senior recorded a hat trick in a 3-0 victory over Wright County this past Thursday evening. Putney scored twice in the first half and added a third goal in the second stanza for the Lynx.
