Webster City girls tip off regionals at home

The Webster City girls open postseason play at home here Wednesday night when they host Boone. Tip is set for 7 p.m. With a win, the Lynx (8-13 overall) would advance to a Class 4A, Region 2 semifinal at No. 2 Dallas Center-Grimes (19-2) on Saturday night. In the other 4A regional quarterfinal, Ballard faces Fort Dodge, with that winner heading to Pella. The regional final is scheduled for Feb. 24. Hawk boys hang tough before bowing out

MONROE — The season came to an end for the South Hamilton boys here Monday night. But not without a fight. Despite falling twice to PCM by lopsided scores during the regular season, the Hawks gave the Mustangs everything they could handle before coming up short, 57-50, in a Class 2A, District 5 affair.
