EAGLE GROVE — Webster City’s cross country squads competed at the Dick Bell Invitational held Tuesday at the Eagle Grove Country Club.

The Lynx boys finished seventh in the team standings. Gilbert was the champion, with Algona claiming second.

Gilbert and Humboldt took the top two places in the girls’ standings. Webster City did not field a complete squad.

Emma Peck led the Lynx girls across the 5K course in 24:42, while Brayden Henely was the top Webster City boys’ finisher with a time of 19:57.

The next action for the squads is the North Central Conference meet on Tuesday at Humboldt.
