Lynx girls a runner-up at Cadet Relays

IOWA FALLS — The Webster City girls track and field team put a cap on their regular season by placing second here Monday at the Cadet Relays.

The Lynx won the 4×100, 4×200 and sprint medley relays, as Adeline Tesdahl, Cloe Savitski and Ellie Weinschenk ran on all three. Olivia Gallentine ran the second legs of the 4×100 and 4×200, with Isabel Grossoehme running the anchor of the sprint medley.

The 4×100 posted a time of 53.25, the 4×200 went 1:55.20 and the sprint medley crossed home in 1:57.62.

Adysen Poppen (shot put) and Avery Poppen (discus) were both runners-up, as were the 4×400 and 4×800 relays. Grossoehme, Rosemary Chamness, Kaitlyn Winkler and Tristyn Wright ran the 4×400 with Ariauna Reed, Sydney Oswald, Lydia VanDeer and Annabelle Hurt the 4×800.

Savitski (100), Lynne Roberts (100 hurdles), the distance medley and shuttle hurdle relays all placed third.

Webster City returns to action on Thursday in Hampton at the annual North Central Conference meet.
