South Hamilton girls in action at Mustang Classic

MONROE — The South Hamilton girls golf team took part in the Mustang Classic here this past Thursday afternoon.

Abby Adamski and Rebekah Carlson tied for ninth overall as the Hawks were fifth overall with a 444. Gilbert won the meet with a 332 followed by Williamsburg, Des Moines Christian and Monroe-PCM.

Medalist honors went to Eden Lohrback of Gilbert, as she fired a round of 75. Teammates Macy Underwood and Ava Lohrbach were second and third overall.

Adamski had a 48 on the back nine and Carlson a 49 on the front.

Arynn Luppes and Hailey Johnson each had 123s with Sophie Nibe adding a 145.

“There was a lot of good competition here,” South Hamilton head coach Kathi Fisher said. “I like scheduling 18-hole tournaments because they will help us prepare for conference and regionals.”

The Hawks return to action on Tuesday against Ballard in a home dual. They have another home meet on Friday in an invitational.
