The Webster City softball team couldn’t find an answer for sixth-ranked St. Edmond on Friday.

The Lynx (2-4 overall, 1-3 NCC) managed only four hits after the Gaels took a 4-0 lead after four innings.

Amanda Lahr had the big day for Webster City, knocking out two hits. Jakaela Cherry added a double for Webster City.

For St. Edmond, sophomore Toryn Helle (8-0) had another strong outing, throwing seven innings of four hit ball. She struck out 10 and walked zero.

The Gaels broke through in the seventh inning with a six-spot.

Ella Vandi had a big night, going 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.

Helle and Myrah Lemon had two hits each. Helle drove in three runs, while Faith Shirbrom, and Jade Rock also had an RBI.

Rock, Shirbroun, and Rihanna Myers all had doubles.

The Gaels stole eight bases. Vandi had three, while Rock had two. Breckyn Ulrich, Myers and Lemon had one each.
