The Webster City girls soccer team sent their seniors off with a special win here Monday night.

As the Lynx honored Joleah Stuhr, Addy Beaulieu, Kamey Stanley, Kendyl Daniels, Caitlyn Gapp and Jill Symens off the pitch, on it, they posted a 7-0 victory over Hampton-Dumont/CAL.

Jayme Perez recorded a hat trcik and Symens had five assists with a goal. Stuhr put together a clean sheet in net with four saves.

“I am so grateful to get to work with this amazing group of athletes,” WCHS head coach Kristine Mason said. “Watching them grow on and off the field this season, and face adversity in the way that they have, is truly special.

“They will be incredibly missed next season. Congratulations to all of you and thank you for doing all that you have done for our program.”

Webster City (5-5 overall, 2-5 in North Central Conference) had a 2-0 lead at the half before adding five goals in the second half. Sandra Fuentes-Cruz had two goals and Mia Hansen one.

Daniels and Ashlee Nydegger each recorded an assist.

As a team, the Lynx finished with 31 shots including 18 on goal.

“Also, a special thank you to Jennifer Rank and our Webster City Youth Soccer Club for coming out and supporting the Lynx in a big way,” Mason said. “We are looking forward to working with these athletes over the next several years to prepare them for high school soccer and beyond.

“The future looks bright.”

Webster City returns to action Thursday when they host Wright County.
