Fours are wild for Lynx baseball, still the NCC kingpin

Four Webster City baseball players were named to the all-North Central Conference first team, with three of them earning unanimous selection status.

Zach Dyvig, Ty McKinney and CJ Hisler were picked by each coach of the league, with Devon Stoakes also making the first squad.

Connor Hanson was on the second team, with Keegan Hisler and Briar Klaver on the third.

The Lynx claimed a fourth consecutive NCC title this past summer, going 13-1 in league play.

Dyvig put together an 8-0 record in the conference, striking out 68 in 49 innings. He allowed just four earned runs and opponents hit only .163 against him.

He also hit .366 with 22 RBI, two doubles, two homers and a triple.

McKinney sported a .475 batting average with 13 RBI, six doubles, 29 runs scored and 10 walks.

CJ Hisler recorded 18 hits with three doubles, a triple and 25 RBI.

Stoakes led the league in hitting. batting .574 with 17 RBI, six extra-base hits and 23 runs scored in 14 games. He also went a perfect 5-0 with 39 strikeouts in 28 innings, as opponents batted just .167 against him.

Hanson had four doubles and 11 steals and Keegan Hisler had nine RBI and seven steals.

Dyvig and Stoakes have graduated, but McKinney, CJ Hisler, Keegan Hisler, Hansen and Klaver are all set to return.
