CLEAR LAKE — The Webster City baseball team took care of Clear Lake here Monday night, posting an impressive 10-0 victory in five innings. Josh Griep fired a one-hitter, striking out four with no walks to earn the win on the mound for the Lynx (13-9 overall, 8-4 in the North Central Conference), who ended the game early via the mercy rule with four runs in the fifth. The Lions (10-8 overall, 7-3 in the North Central Conference) scored four in the sixth inning to secure a 4-2 victory, winning for just the third time in the series since 2018. Senior Keegan Hisler rocked a three-RBI double in the sixth and sophomore Braylon Dyvig retired the Wildcats in the seventh to secure the win for the Lynx (12-9 overall, 7-4 in North Central Conference).
