A late comeback came up just short here Tuesday night for the Webster City baseball team. After falling behind to Waverly-Shell Rock, the Lynx (17-13 overall) rallied for four runs before dropping their regular season finale, 5-4. Josh Stansfield and Trevyn Lyons each drove in two runs while Keegan Hisler scored twice and stole a base. The Webster City baseball team rolled past Roland-Story on Friday. The Lynx (17-12 overall) earned a 16-1 victory over the Norsemen (14-17), powered by 11 hits in four innings. Jaxon Griffith had three hits for the Lynx, driving in four runs as well. Keegan Hisler and Josh Stansfield had two hits each. Bargfrede recorded her 200th strikeout of the season, retiring the side in order in the seventh. Tesdahl, meanwhile, collected the 100th hit of her career in the win.
