Rams hold off Hawks

The South Hamilton boys capped off a tough week with a 53-40 setback to Greene County this past Friday night. After taking an early lead, the Hawks were unable to hold off the Rams, as several starters fouled out during the contest. Sam Koehnk had a big night, scoring 21 points to lead South Hamilton. The Hawks earned a 46-35 victory over East Sac County, but fell to both Emmetsburg and Southeast Valley. In the dual win over the Raiders, Wrigley Eilbeck, Parker Stuck, Gaige Willis and Brody Harris secured falls, as Holden Moore added a major decision. The Hawks scored a 56-38 victory over Perry here Tuesday night inside the Casey’s Center. DES MOINES — The South Hamilton boys fell to Perry here Tuesday night from inside the Casey’s Center, 74-39. The Hawks were down by just two after the first quarter, but the Bluejays used a 21-6 run in the second to take control of the contest.
