Lynx win tight contest vs. HD-C
HAMPTON — An Abisai Ramirez-Carmona goal in the second half helped lift the Webster City boys soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Hampton-Dumont/CAL here Monday night.
Ramirez-Carmona broke the scoreless tie when he sent home the winner off a pass from Aaron Mendoza.
The Lynx (2-0-1 overall, 2-0 in North Central Conference) tallied eight shots, led by four from Ramirez-Carmona and two by Mendoza. Aeden Anderson and Geovany Morales Lopez each recorded one.
Edwin Ramos Nolasco was perfect in net, saving all six shots put on him by the Bulldogs in 80 minutes.
Webster City remains on the road, heading to Clear Lake (3-0-3, 2-0) on Thursday.
