Lynx girls win triangular in Fort Dodge

FORT DODGE — Hayden McCoy had her best round of the season, leading the Webster City girls golf squad to a first-place finish here on Thursday in triangular action from Lakeside Golf Course. The Lynx had a team score of 218, finishing eight strokes ahead of Charles City. St. Edmond was third as the host. McCoy had a par on the ninth, taking two strokes off her previous best score of a 54 earlier in the week. She earned runner-up medalist honors. The Webster City boys soccer team earned a tight 3-2 victory over Humboldt on Thursday night. The Lynx (5-1-2 overall) had 10 shots on goal. The two teams played to a 1-1 tie earlier in the season.
