CASADY AT TOP OF LEADERBOARD, LYNX AT BOTTOM: Webster City’s Katie Casady topped the field of 17 golfers and brought home the medalist honor from a North Central Conference girls’ triangular at Meadow Hills Golf Course in Iowa Falls on Friday.

Casady, the Lynx No. 1 player, carded a 45 and won the individual title by three shots over runner-up Rana Janes (48) of IF-A, and the Cadets’ Olivia French was one more shot back with a 49. No other player broke 50.

IF-A claimed the meet with a 200, 13 shots ahead of Clarion-Goldfield-Dows (213). Casady’s round helped WCHS close the gap, but it still finished at the back of the pack with a 216.

Jayde Bertran posted a 53 and Ella Dinsdale a 57. Alley Odland’s 61 closed out the Lynx team score.

Friday at Iowa Falls

Iowa Falls-Alden (200) — Rana Janes 48, Olivia French 49, Jocelyn Mulford 50, Brooke Regan 53, Paige Danger 54, Hannah Elerding 55.

Medalist — Casady (WC). Runner-up — Janes (IF-A).

HAWKS FOURTH AT QUAD: The South Hamilton girls’ golf team finished at the back of the line in a quadrangular meet at River Bend Golf Course in Story City last Thursday.

The Hawks carded a 224 to finish nine strokes behind third-place finisher North Polk (215). Roland-Story used its familiarity with the nine-hole landscape to dominate with a 185, 20 strokes better than runner-up West Marshall (205).

Roland-Story’s Kate Rahfeldt (40) and Ellie Erickson (45) occupied the first- and second-place slots on the individual leaderboard.

Miranda Deppe was the Hawks’ low player with a 54. Rebekah Carlson (55), Grace Young (56) and Paige Jewell (59) also fired counting scores.
