Hawks’ Swenson signs to play golf at DMACC

JEWELL — Krista Swenson will continue to play competitive golf after she graduates from South Hamilton High School next month.

Her next destination? Des Moines Area Community College.

Swenson signed a letter of intent with DMACC earlier this month. She’ll join the Bears and head coach Chris Seaboch in the fall.

Swenson is the Hawks’ No. 1 golfer this spring. She most recently earned a top-10 finish in the large West Marshall Invite field at Lincoln Valley Golf Course in State Center.

Swenson is a four-sport athlete at South Hamilton. She also participates in volleyball, basketball and softball.

On hand for the signing were her parents, Rand and Cara Swenson, as well as her siblings, Cole, Kendra and Carly Swenson.
