BELMOND — Lane Swenson, Nathan Wilson, Nate Laube and Zach Larson all won twice and the South Hamilton wrestling team split a pair of duals here Tuesday evening.

The Hawks (6-12) dropped a 46-27 decision to Forest City in the opener, but rebounded to take down Belmond-Klemme, 40-36, in their nightcap.

Swenson (138 pounds), Wilson (160) and Larson (220/285) turned back two opponents, while Laube (170) collected one fall and a forfeit.

Swenson needed just 31 seconds to deck Forest City’s Adam Trunkhill and later he dominated Belmond-Klemme’s Max Beminio for a 10-0 major decision win.

Wilson controlled his six-minute clash with the Indians’ Dylan Jenkins for a 9-2 win and then flattened the Broncos’ Tristan Halfpop in 3:26.

Larson ended both of his bouts early. At 285 against Forest City, he put another Larson, the Indians’ Evan, flat on the mat for the fall in 4:44. He moved down to 220 to face Belmond-Klemme’s Alex Bartz and showed him the lights in 3:46.

Laube pinned the Indians’ Jacob Trunkhill in 1:30.

Mohamed Yokie (106), Heston Strohman (113), Trevor Thompson (145), Ethan Young (152) and Dominic Summers (195) all went 1-1 for South Hamilton. Young and Summers both had wins by decision.

The Hawks are scheduled to head to Jefferson for a Heart of Iowa Conference double-dual against Greene County and PCM tonight.
