SH girls mount rally, come up short against Gaels
FORT DODGE — A strong second half didn’t result in a victory, but it brought a much-needed dose of confidence into the South Hamilton girls’ locker room here last night.
After trailing by 13 points, 30-17, at halftime, the Hawks rallied and got as close as three points before ultimately losing by five, 52-47, to St. Edmond in a non-conference contest.
Bree Hodnefield scored 14 of her season-high 19 points in the second half to lead the comeback. Anna Moss also reached double figures with 10 points and Rylee Woodall pitched in seven. A total of eight players got into the scoring column for South Hamilton (0-9).
