As we near the November 5 election, please take note of the special deadlines that will be in place regarding your submitted opinions and letters to the editor that pertain to the election. The last submitted opinion or letter will be published on Friday, November 1. That means that your submissions must reach the editor no later than Thursday, October 31, by noon. As always, letters and opinions must be signed with the writer's name and town of residence and accompanied by a working telephone number for purposes of contact. Thank you.

Jerry Kloberdanz is ‘conscientious, dedicated and hard working’

To the editor: I am writing in support of Jerry Kloberdanz. I have had the opportunity to work closely with Jerry in his role as Supervisor. He is conscientious, dedicated and hard working. He deserves to and should be re-elected. He does not govern with an agenda and is thoughtful and informed in all his decisions. I encourage everyone to vote for Jerry. I already have. Webster City Rotary says thank you for the community’s support of the Turkey Dinner

To the editor: On behalf of the Webster City Rotary Club, I am writing to express our deepest gratitude to the community for their incredible support of our Annual Rotary Turkey Dinner, held this year on October 20th at the Briggs Woods Conference Center. We are thrilled to report that we served over 1,250 meals — more than 10 meals per minute. As a supervisor, Jerry Kloberdanz has worked hard to support veterans

To the editor: This is the first time I have written a letter to the editor. I am a member of the Hamilton County Veterans Affairs Commission. This Commission is used to help veterans to get their pensions and to help them when they need it. While serving on this commission we have worked closely with the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors. During this time Jerry Kloberdanz has been a great help in giving advice. Voters have the freedom to oust Republicans on November 5

To the editor: Republicans have a problem. It’s called hypocrisy. That’s when you say one thing and do another. They say they want freedom. Is it freedom to restrict voting? Is it freedom to ban books like Hitler? Is it freedom to take away a woman’s choice in healthcare? Is it freedom to discriminate against gay and trans people? Republicans want the freedom to rule over you with no feedback. People, you have the freedom to vote them out. Dave Haynes Duncombe
