Webster City’s mayor stopped by for a talk about the splash pad
To the editor:
I had a visit from the mayor of Webster City at my home recently. He came to apologize for what happened at the recent city council meeting. I told him I was glad he came here because I also wanted to apologize. I apologized for the way I presented my concerns but not for what I was trying to inform the residents of Webster City. We had a good long visit.
I explained my concerns to him and he did likewise to me. He said you are welcome anytime to express your concerns and ideas. I explained there is good debt and bad debt and we need to spend our money wisely and he agreed. I think he and I agree on a lot of the same things. We shook hands and we departed on a good note.
Thank you Mr. Mayor for stopping by and listening to a resident of Webster City. I encourage all residents who have concerns about the splash pad to visit the mayor and express them. Elected officials work for us.
