Police Reports

A two vehicle accident occurred on May 25. Ansley M. McCrady, Webster City, was turning west from Union Street onto Elm Street. Michael D. Pruismann, Webster City, was traveling east on Elm Street. McCrady’s vision was obscured due to the sun and she did not see Pruismann’s vehicle. The front of McCrady’s vehicle collided with the front of Pruismann’s vehicle. McCrady’s vehicle sustained an estimated $1,500.00 in minor damage. Pruismann’s vehicle sustained an estimated $1,500.00 in functional damage.

On May 24, the Webster City Police Department was dispatched to an accident at 1231 Third Street. Upon arrival Officer Delaney spoke with Marilyn A. McConnell, Webster City, who reportedly told Officer Delaney that Jeffrey L. Habhab, Webster City, had given her his information, but had to get to work so he left. McConnell stated there was no damage to Habhab’s vehicle. McConnell reportedly stated she was slowing down to park next to her truck parked on the street so she could transfer items from it. As this was happening, Habhab backed out of a driveway and hit McConnell’s vehicle in the driver’s side rear corner. McConnell’s bumper was damaged during the accident. There were no citations issued and no injuries reported at the time of the accident. McConnell’s vehicle sustained an estimated $800.00 in minor damage.

Michael A. Ashman, Webster City, was arrested on May 19 for driving while license revoked.

Police Reports

A two vehicle accident occurred on May 22 on Sparboe Court. Larraine G. Habben, Webster City, was backing out of a driveway and did not see a legally parked 2014 Ford F150 on the street. Habben backed into the front bumper and door of the Ford. There were no injuries. Habben’s vehicle sustained an estimated $200.00 in minor damage. The Ford sustained an estimated $1,200.00 in functional damage.

Nicholas T. Barnes, Webster City, was arrested on May 20 for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

A two vehicle accident occurred on May 20 at the intersection of Bank and Superior Street. Peter R. Neumeister, Webster City, backed into a vehicle driven by Jordan D. Myers, Webster City, to avoid what he thought was going to be a collision with a semi. There were no injuries. Myers’ vehicle sustained an estimated $1,000.00 in functional damage.

Two warrants to arrest Brandon M. Pelz, Webster City, were served on May 18.

Shane A. Odor, Webster City, was arrested on May 16 for driving while license suspended.

Jeffrey S. Johnson, Webster?City, was arrested on May 14 for willful injury.

Sandra J. Gustafson, Webster City, was arrested on May 13 for driving while license suspended and failure to prove security against liability.

Mark L. Vaughn, Webster City, was arrested on May 11 for abandonment of a dog.

A warrant to arrest Ty K. Wild, Webster City, was served on May 9.

Logan L. Staley, Webster City, was arrested on May 8 for accessory after the fact.

A warrant to arrest Scott R. Luke, Webster City, was served on May 8.

Police Reports

On May 17, the Webster City Police Department was dispatched to East Second Street and Maple Avenue for an accident. Upon arrival Officer Joel Delaney spoke with Chann S. Om, Webster City, who reportedly told Officer Delaney she was waiting at the stop sign on Maple Avenue and didn’t see any vehicles on East Second Street. Om stated she pulled out into the intersection turning left and was hit by Kenton A. Johnston, Webster City, who was traveling east on East Second Street. Om’s vehicle was struck in the driver’s side of the vehicle and Johnston’s vehicle was damaged in the front. Johnston reportedly told Officer Delaney that Om pulled out in front of him as he was coming to the intersection. There were no injuries reported. Om was cited for failure to obey a stop sign. Om’s vehicle sustained an estimated $5,000.00 in disabling damage. Johnston’s vehicle sustained an estimated $7,000.00 in severe damage.

Jose Roble-Melara, Webster City, was arrested on May 16 for domestic simple assault and two counts of violation of a restraining order.

Jim S. Khamsai, Webster City, was arrested on May 14 for aggravated assault.

Kirsten A.R. Jones, Ames, was arrested on May 11 for violation of a no-contact order.

Jose Roble-Melara, Webster City, was arrested on May 10 for violation of a restraining order.

Randy B. McDonald, Portland, OR, was arrested on May 5 for simple assault.

Bryan O. Reyes, Webster City, was arrested on May 3 for domestic abuse assault.

Police Reports

A two vehicle accident occurred on May 14. Daniel T. Garnett, Webster City, was traveling northbound on the Highway 20 overpass. Adyson M. McKinney, Fort Dodge, was in front of Garnett traveling northbound. McKinney was attempting to turn left on the Highway 20 on ramp. Garnett hit McKinney’s vehicle before McKinney turned on the Highway 20 on ramp. McKinney and her passenger were injured as a result of the collision. McKinney and her passenger were transported to Van Diest Medical Center. Garnett reportedly stated he was uninjured on scene. A witness stated Garnett reportedly hit McKinney. Garnett’s vehicle sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage. McKinney’s vehicle sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage.

On May 10, Antrez L. Conley, Webster City, was traveling eastbound on Second Street. Tina M. Heyerhoff, Fort Dodge, was stopped in traffic on Second Street facing eastbound waiting to turn left onto White Fox Road. Conley was reportedly distracted by his cell phone ringing and took his eyes off the roadway. The front bumper of Conley’s vehicle collided into the rear bumper of Heyerhoff’s vehicle. There were no injuries. Heyerhoff’s vehicle sustained an estimated $250 in damage.

A warrant to arrest Brandon L. Dodson, Webster City, was served on May 4.

Police Reports

On May 2, Shalis M. Mofle, Webster City, was traveling east on South Street. Mofle stated that her vehicle began veering to the right. Mofle reportedly stated that she was unable to correct the steering issue. A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado was legally parked facing east on South Street. The right front of Mofle’s vehicle collided with the rear left of the Silverado. Mofle’s vehicle continued to push the Silverado until the vehicles came to rest with the Silverado facing north. Mofle complained of minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage.

A two vehicle accident occurred on May 1. Marilyn P. Hughes, Webster City, was traveling south on?Des Moines Street approaching the intersection of Fairmeadow Drive. Ida M. Lanken, Webster City, left the stop sign and did not see Hughes approaching. Lanken’s vehicle struck Hughes’ driver’s side rear door. There were no injuries. Lanken’s vehicle sustained an estimated $1,500 in damage. Hughes’ vehicle sustained an estimated $3,000 in damage.

A hit-and-run occurred on April 29. A 2014 Chevrolet Equinox was legally parked in the parking lot of the Van Diest Medical Center between April 29 and May 2. Sometime during that time the Equinox was struck causing damage to the driver’s side rear corner. White paint transfer exists on the Equinox. There is no other information regarding the unknown vehicle. The Equinox sustained an estimated $1,500 in minor damage.

Police Reports

A two vehicle accident occurred on April 29. Betty J. Halleland, Blairsburg, was traveling north bound on Union Street. Olivia K. Myers, Webster City, was traveling west bound on First Street. Halleland failed to yield to the right of way of Myers at an uncontrolled intersection. Myers’ vehicle hit Halleland’s vehicle as a result. Halleland was checked out by EMS, but was not transported to the hospital. Halleland’s vehicle sustained an estimated $3,000 in damage. Myers’ vehicle sustained an estimated $2,000 in minor damage.

Dustin R. Conley, Webster City, was arrested on April 24 for disorderly conduct.

Elias C. Cortez, Webster City, was arrested on April 23 for driving while license suspended.

Shae L. Carter, Webster City, was arrested on April 21 for possession of meth and no driver’s license.

Jamie L. Johnson, Webster City, was arrested on April 20 for driving while license suspended.

Brett T. Adams, Webster City, was arrested on April 19 for domestic abuse assault and obstruction of emergency communication.
