Heard it through the grapevine
Backcountry Winery invites you to help bring in the harvest
Backcountry Winery is issuing an invitation to the public to help bring in the grape harvest. The event is Saturday, August 19, at the winery : 3533 Fenton Ave., Stratford.
“This is our third annual volunteer harvest event, and we look forward to welcoming new and returning guests alike. It’s a great opportunity to meet new faces, ask questions, and learn about our wine-making process,” said Amber Gable, an owner.
“We’ll be picking our Brianna grapes at the winery starting around 7a.m. Come when you can and stay as long as you like.
“All necessary tools and supplies will be provided,” she said, adding, “It may be a good idea to start the morning with a rain jacket as the vines will likely be dewy.”
Gable said a breakfast of rolls from Dutch Oven Bakery, fresh fruits, and beverages “including mimosas!” will be provided.
