Logan Baldwin Memorial Ride held by FFA

Submitted photo

On May 8, the Webster City FFA hosted a “Drive Your Tractor to School Day” event from the Hamilton County Fairgrounds to the Webster City High School in memory of Logan Baldwin.

There were 10 students and FFA members who drove their tractors, consisting of everything from 1950s Internationals and Fords to 2020s Case IH and John Deeres.

Leading the line of tractors were Bill Baldwin and Tanner Baldwin, who were driving Logan Baldwin’s truck as the lead car in his memory.

Last year during the FFA’s “Drive Your Tractor to School Day” event, Logan Baldwin was in a tragic accident where he passed away, so when the members were thinking of doing a “Drive Your Tractor to School Day” event again this year, they knew they wanted to memorialize Logan in some way.

To ensure safety of the participants, there were officers from the Webster City Police Department and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office escorting participants through town on the drive.

The Webster City FFA would like to give a very big thank you to Ms. Wing for helping to organize the event, as well as Webster City Community School administration for allowing the event to take place, and all of the members who helped make this event possible.

They would also like to thank the Baldwin family for allowing Logan’s truck to be the lead car, for allowing them to do the drive in memory of Logan, and for participating in the event. The WC FFA hopes to continue this event as a tradition in memory of Logan.

Starting at $3.46/week.
