WC to host RVTV for third time

WHO-TV and the Webster City Chamber of Commerce announces their Hat Trick – RVTV will be returning for a third time to Webster City on September 10 to celebrate the Iowa/Iowa State game.

“We just found out that Keith Murphy, Ed Wilson and their crew are coming back! This is the first time ever they’ve returned to one location three times. It’s a great time to live and play in Webster City,” said Chamber Director Deb Brown.

Last year it was estimated that 5,000 people were downtown for RVTV. There was a tail gating section, chili cook off, bag tournaments, food vendors, human foosball, tug of war, music, Kid Zone End Zone and more. Ed Wilson roamed the streets and raced on bar stools. Keith Murphy reported on live tv and met many of our locals. It looked like rain early on, but the skies cleared and it turned out to be a perfect evening.

“We just can’t say no to Webster City! It’s one of the best places we’ve ever visited, and the crowds come out to cheer their teams on. We’re looking forward to coming back,” said Keith Murphy.

Groups are being formed to bring the best possible entertainment and food options to the Webster City Area. Those with ideas, or who would like to volunteer and help, contact the Chamber at 832-2564.
