The Webster City High School Band Boosters will be holding its annual silent auction and bake sale on Friday, Jan. 31, at the varsity girls and boys home game in the entryway of the high school competition gym. The event will begin at 6 p.m.

Organizers said the silent auction and bake sale will operate a little differently this year. Board member Jamie Seiser was able to procure a central vacuum unit valued at $1,500 for the auction. That will be the only auction item.

This year, the proceeds from the auction will go towards replacing the 30-plus year-old instrument cubbies in the bandroom with new, improved and secure units.
