Aaron Mendoza, Dany Morales and Abisai Ramirez-Carmona each had a goal, with Mendoza and Morales scoring in the first half. The Webster City track and field teams will see several familiar faces on Thursday when they compete in Clear Lake at a Class 3A qualifying meet. Field events begin at 4 p.m. with running to start 45 minutes later. Joining the Lynx will be Charles City, the host Lions, Decorah, Hampton-Dumont/CAL, Humboldt, Independence and Nevada. Automatic qualifiers will be first and second place finishes in each event, with the next eight-best from all the districts also advancing to Drake Stadium in Des Moines when the state meet begins on May 21. GRUNDY CENTER — The Webster City boys tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Grundy Center here Tuesday. James Elliott won two games at No. 5 singles while Nathan Wardell and Vincent Bittner each tallied one.
