Hawk duo completes state meet experience

DES MOINES — Parker Stuck and Brody Harris finished their South Hamilton wrestling careers on the big stage.

Stuck (190) and Harris (285) wrestled inside the Casey’s Center in their final high school seasons on the mat.

Harris (30-17) made it into Day 2, earning a fall in 3:44 over Maverick Kalb (36-9) of Treynor to advance to the second round. He lost to Logan Lashbrook (33-7) of Janesville in a 22-2 tech fall in 2:33.

Harris bounced back with an overtime fall over Simon Shetler (40-15) of Iowa City Regina, but was eliminated from the tournament in a tight 5-4 loss to Roman Scheffler (40-11) of AHSTW.

Lashbrook wound up being the bronze medalist in Class 1A.

Stuck (24-21) didn’t earn a win in two matches. The Hawk lost in the first round by fall in 1:58 to Luke Lansing (36-14) of Springville, before being ousted via pin in 4:45 by Ruger Kincaid (41-10) of Baxter.
