To the Editor:

Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Brian Mickelson, retired Sheriff of Webster County. I am urging you to support Rod Hicok for Sheriff. He has my whole-hearted support.

While working with Rod when he was with the Iowa State Patrol, I knew he was the kind of officer every officer strives to be. Rod assisted the Webster County Sheriff’s Office many times and was instrumental in establishing control, coordinating security and recovery after the town of Stratford was hit by a tornado several years ago.

Rod has the credentials, experience, knowledge and personality to be the kind of Sheriff Hamilton County can be proud of. I strongly to urge you to vote “Hicok for Sheriff” on Nov. 8.
