Hamilton County supervisors meet today at 9 a.m. in the basement meeting room at the Hamilton County Courthouse. The courthouse is located at 2300 Superior St. During the meeting, the supervisors will review the Hamilton County Hometown Pride project, the clerk of court report and the final quarterly report for 2025. In addition, they will grant approval for resurfacing the area (ID 40-CO40-12), consider approving a Superior Street lease and revising a landscaping plan for Blairsburg. They will also be setting a public hearing date on a 2026 multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan.
Hamilton County Animal AdvoCATES— HCAAC has been selected to receive an annual grant award of $1,000 from Paws on Your Heart Pet Rescue Support. HCAAC is the 501-C-3 nonprofit organization which works through the physical building of the Cat Hut in Webster City. Through their efforts, they promote responsible cat care, and work to protect, rehome and spay and neuter cats in the Webster City area. Funds received by the HCAAC are used to operate The Cat Hut. The Webster City Community school district board meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight at the administration building located at 820 Des Moines St. On the agenda will be a public hearing concerning the 2025-2026 calendar, a report from Superintendent Matt Berninghaus and multiple board policies. In addition, the agenda will include the 2026-2027 school calendar, considering a high school trap shooting team as an official FFA activity and discussion on sharing a communications director position with the city of Webster City.
