Teachers for county ready
Teachers of the township and rural independent school districts are ready for the school year of 1926-27 and classes will be in session in all localities next Monday. Some of the instructors have already started their schools in order to allow vacation periods during the corn picking season and spring.
E.F. Snow, county superintendent of schools, held conferences with all the teachers last week with meetings at Ellsworth, Williams, Stratford and Webster City. The teachers received their instructions for the year and were advised on various matters of importance.
The teachers and the places where they will hold school follow:
Blairsburg Township: 1 – Iola Johnson, 2 – Verna Nelson, 3 – Mary Myers, 4 – Mrs. Alma Young, and 9 – Winonah Miller.

Sisters 94 and 92 care for own home and garden
Mrs. Della Graham, 92 and her sister, Mrs. Flora Silvers, 94 live alone and like it.
They do all their own housework at their home at 1201 Water St. bake bread regularly and can large quantities of vegetables from their own garden,.
Both Mrs. Silvers and Mrs. Graham are the only survivors of the nine children of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Letts.
Mrs. Silvers was born September 2, 1862 – the night her father, a lieutenant in the Union army, left for duty in the Civil War. Her name, Flora Lincoln Letts, was suggested by a Union army captain.
Mrs. Graham was born September 29, 1864. Their parents were living at Frankfurt, Ill, at the time of their birth.
The Letts family came to Hamilton County in 1882 and Mr. Letts operated a farm in Freedom township. Mrs. Silvers, who had been working in Chicago, came to Webster City a year later.
The two sisters have lived together in their home on Water St. for several years.
Mrs. Silvers has a daughter, Mrs. Roy Mason of Webster City. Mrs. Graham has three children; Glenn Graham of Webster City, Mrs. Alva Barr of Webster City and Mrs. Marion Robinson of Council Bluffs.

BRAAG plans used book "etc." sale for Jubilee Days
A sale of used books will be one of the aspects of Jubilee Days this year according to members of the Boone River Area Art Guild, who are sponsoring the project.
They will hold the sale in the basement of the depot as part of their contribution to the celebration and they plan to combine the sale with other activities.
The group held a similar sale earlier this summer and uses funds received from such fund raisers toward upkeep and renovation of the depot basement.
As with their earlier sale, they encourage donations of used books, maps, magazines or other similar items.
