The following adult programs will be offered by the Kendall Young Library in the month of September.
Flower Arranging with Tyler Burton - Monday, August 31, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. we will be exploring the art of flower arranging! Tyler Burton from Peacock House Flowers will be sharing some tips and tricks to a beautiful arrangement. This is a free event and no sign-up is required.
Adult BINGO - Join us to test your luck with Adult BINGO at Kendall Young Library. Patrons can win small snacks and prizes on Tuesday, September 1, 5:30-6:30 p.m. This traditional bingo game is free and held in the meeting room.
Adult Daytime Book Club – Kendall Young Library invites you to join for the September Book Club discussion about The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. Books are available at the adult checkout desk if interested in participating. The meeting will be Tuesday, September 8 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the meeting room to discuss. A book for the October Book Club will be announced and available at this time.
Adult Evening Book Club – Kendall Young Library also sponsors an Adult Evening Book Club and this month’s discussion will be on the book Louisiana Longshot by Jana Deleon. Books are available at Kendall Young Library. This group meets Wednesday, September 9 in the meeting room from 6 to 7 p.m. .
Books & Bourbon Silent Book Club - Kendall Young Library is working with Wildcat Distilling Co. to offer patrons a Silent Book Club. Adults are invited to gather at Wildcat Distilling Co. on Thursday, September 17 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.. Bring a book, grab a drink, and enjoy an introvert happy hour. This event will be held at Wildcat Distilling Co. in Webster City (713 2nd Street) and is always the third Thursday of each month.
Adult DIY - Kendall Young Library will be preparing for the spooky season ahead with the painting of Haunted Pavers as the Adult DIY. This will be held on Tuesday, September 22from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the meeting room. This event is free and does not require registration.
Fiber Arts Hangout - Thursday, September 24 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. the Kendall Young Library will be hosting a time for fiber arts projects. Come to the Genealogy area where other patrons will be available who can help, but all are welcome to bring personal projects to work on and socialize. All ages 16+ are invited to come and some supplies will be available. There is no registration required.
SPICE Club – Kendall Young Library invites you to add some spice to your life with the KYL Spice of the Month Club. This month features Garam Masala beginning Friday, September 4. Samples will be available throughout the month while supplies last. Each month there will be a featured herb or spice. A limited number of kits will be available each month with a small sample, information about the spice, and a couple recipes to try.
