Hamilton County 4-H Youth Development staff member Krystal Schnabel has been recognized with a prestigious national award from the National Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals (NAE4-HYDP). She was selected as the National Winner in the Promotional Piece – Individual category, honoring excellence in communications and outreach efforts that help connect youth and families with 4-H
Schnabel is the K-12 educator and is in charge of Clover kids. She works with the youth on other special programs throughout Hamilton County.

NAE4-HYDP is the leading professional association for 4-H youth development educators across the United States and recognizes outstanding achievements by professionals who serve young people through Extension and 4-H programs.
Krystal will be recognized during the NAE4-HYDP Awards Banquet at the organization’s national conference in Kansas City on October 29. The award recognizes Krystal’s ability to effectively promote 4-H and communicate its impact to the public. Through her work, she has helped share the stories, opportunities, and successes of local youth participating in 4-H programs.
For those unfamiliar with 4-H, the organization is America’s largest youth development program, providing hands-on learning experiences that help young people build leadership, citizenship, communication, and career-ready skills. Millions of youth participate in 4-H programs each year through local clubs, camps, after-school programs, and educational events.
