July 29, 1946 Release 20 names for Barracks C.C. McCarthy, city manager, today released the names of twenty successful applicants for the 24 emergency housing units now being erected on the Bonebright lots. Four other names picked by the conference committee are being withheld for further study to make sure they are eligible for the housing. A mistake in granting housing now would not help an ineligible applicant, McCarthy said, since the person erroneously given the unit would be denied the quarters as soon as the mistake was discovered.
