Congregate meals for week of September 21 - 24

Congregate meals are open to any senior adults over the age of 60 years. Reservations are needed by calling 515-832-6161 to reserve a meal to eat in with others, or to pick up and eat at home. The cost of an individual meal is between $7 to $10, but are also reduced to what an individual can afford. The meals are served out of the north side of the RSVP building, located at 749 Second St. The entrance is to the west. First Doodle Bug ride to Kamrar held Friday

Even though rain was forecast each day of the 40th Annual Doodlebug reunion, the organizers of the reunion deemed it a great success. “We were able to get every scheduled ride in, despite the rain forecast,” said Gerald Huisman, club president. Nearly 80 people attended the events which began officially on Wednesday, and wrapped up with a banquet on Saturday night. City council votes on three downtown revitalization projects tonight

At its second meeting of September, the City Council of Webster City will vote on downtown projects it has discussed over the last year. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the council chambers of the Webster City City Hall. This is located at 400 Second St. Thaw projects include roof and wall repairs to 707 Second St., known as the Lotus Building, and purchase of 518 and 520 Second St., both owned by Chris McNeil. Lincoln High School graduates hold 68th reunion

The graduates of the Webster City schools from the Lincoln High School class of 1958 met on August 27 for their 68th class reunion. Those attending include, front row: Sherryl Asklund Rairdin, Marlene Wearda Jackson, Shirley Rinehimer Juon and Nancy Holkan Pilcher. In the second row, from left to right are Lois Hicks Rodwell, Paul Fugate, Sandy Wiggins Short, Wayne Johnson, Carol Wagner Wells, Sally Ladd Wilson and Ann McMurray Balderson. During the day, the class toured The Elks, the Jane Young House and Fuller Hall. Another reunion is being planned for June 2027.
