Two churches provide bargains during sales today and Saturday

It's a bargain shoppers dream. Two enormous thrift sales at bargain basement prices, both being held at the same time in the same town.
What could be better?
The two churches both have clothing and shoes for all ages, from toddlers to adults, in nearly every size. Faith United Methodist only has clothing and shoes, but they fill every inch of the church fellowship hall.
The First Congregational Church includes clothing, but also books, housewares, toys, bicycles, decor, linens and small appliances, and more items that don't fit into any of these categories.
Assembling all the clothing, sorting and labeling takes two weeks at Faith. The Congregational Church takes three days.
It's a masterful project, one that has taken years to perfect. Proceeds from the churches help support community mission work projects that they identify during the year.
The sales begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and run until 6 p.m. On Saturday they begin at 8 a.m. and last until noon.
It's a great benefit to all involved, from saving items from landfills to assisting families who have limited budgets. And at the end, we all benefit as more community projects receive additional assistance.
