The Hamilton County Conservation Board will be holding the 11th annual Fireworks over the Lake on Sunday, July 3 at Little Wall Lake Park.

The fun will begin at 4 p.m. Rendition drawings for the new lodge at the park will be on display.

Sweet Treats Ice Cream will be on hand selling locally made ice cream.

Rasmussen’s Kitchen & Catering of Eagle Grove will be grilling BBQ, hamburgers, and hot dogs.

From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wil Schmitt will be performing “Spirit of Chautauqua” live. The “Spirit of Chautauqua” is a music tour that is bringing entertainment to 45 Iowa counties this summer.

The name “Spirit of Chautauqua” is a tribute to the lively Chautauqua festivals that brought a world of entertainment to Iowa and the Midwest a century ago.

The full tour will kick off June 3 at Hillview Recreation Area in Hinton and spend two months traveling throughout Iowa. Schmitt was born and raised in Winterset. Schmitt led Funks G, a Midwestern rock band, for ten years.

A lighted boat parade is scheduled in the evening along with fireworks over the lake. The fireworks are scheduled to start around 9:45 p.m.
