Webster City posts two softball wins

The Webster City softball team closed out the week by going 2-1 over two days of play. Last Friday, the Lynx topped Clarion-Goldfield/Dows, 11-1 in five innings. They scored in all five, including back-to-back three-run frames in the fourth and fifth. Ava Peterson drove in three while going 4-for-4 at the plate with a double while Delainey Bargfrede also had three hits and drove in a run. Bargfrede, who struck out nine, had a triple and a double. A big fifth inning helped lift the Webster City baseball team past Storm Lake on Tuesday night, 7-6.
