The South Hamilton wrestling team capped off a busy three days by competing in the Storm Dual Team Tournament this past Saturday. The Hawks went 0-5 on the day, with several close setbacks in duals, including a 37-36 loss to Mason City Newman that came down to a tiebreaker. South Hamilton also fell to host BCLUW, 38-36, and the Southeast Polk JV, 41-36. The other losses came to Dike-New Hartford (41-33) and Hudson (59-18). Rams hold off Hawks

The South Hamilton boys capped off a tough week with a 53-40 setback to Greene County this past Friday night. After taking an early lead, the Hawks were unable to hold off the Rams, as several starters fouled out during the contest. Sam Koehnk had a big night, scoring 21 points to lead South Hamilton. The Webster City wrestling team took part in the Allie Morrison Duals in Marshalltown this past Saturday. The Lynx dropped a close 42-37 decision to Sioux City East, along with falling in duals to Johnston, the host Bobcats, Cedar Falls and Bondurant-Farrar. Cody Elliott finished a perfect 5-0 on the day, as Gavin Wynkoop went 4-1. A big third quarter helped the South Hamilton girls finish off last week with a win. The Hawks outscored Greene County in the third, 15-8, to claim a 51-41 victory last Friday night.
