Cy-Hawk Tailgate breakfast The Sons of the Legion will be hosting a Cy-Hawk Tailgate Breakfast on tomorrow. This will be at the Legion in downtown Webster City at 726 Second St. They will be serving inside the Legion building. The Sons of the Legion is part of the American Legion family here in Webster City. They will be serving pancakes, sausage, egg-bake and of course coffee and juice from 8 – 11 a.m. This is a free-will offering with the proceeds going towards our Scholarship Program benefiting High School graduates. Trena was living in New York on September 11, 2001. Trena is a descendant of Trena Thorson Madison, whose sister Talitha Thorson, who was the grandmother of the Webster City Yungclas family. Al’s father, Bruce Yungclas and Phyllis Thorson (Madison) were close, and their families spent a lot of time together in the Webster City area. 2028 trip abroad announced by Webster City Schools

A trip abroad is in the discussion stages for 2028 for students, parents and guardians of the Webster City Community School. Trish Maski, science teacher at the Webster City High School, will be presenting an informational meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at the High School Media Center. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. The tour will be for 8th through 11th grade students during 2028. The tour planner will be EF Tours, which coordinates educational tours. 1926 Legion men off to convention: Drum and Bugle Corps go and will pay most own expense A good sized delegation of Webster City American Legion men will leave tomorrow for the state convention in Clinton. Others will leave early Monday morning. The convention meets Monday and will b e in session over Wednesday. 1926 New members of teaching corps are entertained by old members at Nokomis The annual entertainment of the new members of the teaching corps, by former members, has become an institution in the social year of the school life of Webster City. Last night this affair was presented at Nokomis park from 4 to 7 o’clock. The teachers and members of the school board assembled at Lincoln High school and were taken to the park where several athletic stunts and a kitten ball game produced much amusement.
