A warrant was served to arrest James D. Toftee, Jr., Webster City, on Dec. 26.

Brandon B. Propes, Webster City, was arrested on Dec. 25 and charged with vandalism and disorderly conduct.

A warrant was served to arrest Trinity A. Gamble on Dec. 23.

Brandon M. Pelz, Webster City, was arrested on seven counts of a no-contact violation order on Dec. 23.

A 17-year-old from Webster City, was arrested on Dec. 20 for the possession of marijuana.

Christopher D.W. Anderson, Webster City, was arrested on Dec. 20 for the possession of fireworks.

Trinity A. Gamble, Webster City, was arrested on Dec. 21 for the violation of a no-contact order.

Police Reports

A two vehicle accident occurred on Dec. 27. Matthew P. Vieth, Webster City, was waiting for a parking spot to open up in the Hy-Vee parking lot. Nela N. Mejia Calix, Webster City, backed out of a parking spot without looking. The passenger rear bumper of Mejia-Calix’s vehicle hit the driver’s side of Vieth’s vehicle. Mejia-Calix left the scene and was located later. There were no injuries. Mejia-Calix was cited for failure to prove security against liability and failure to have a valid license.

On Dec. 20, Ana V. Puente-Gomez, Webster City, was traveling eastbound on Second St. Valentin Santis, Webster City, backed out of a parking spot northbound onto Second St. and struck Puente-Gomez’s vehicle. Both drivers were issued citations for no driver’s license and no insurance. There were no injuries.

Ana V. Puente-Gomez, Webster City, was arrested on Dec. 20 for driving while barred.

On Dec. 19, the WCPD received a call of a two vehicle accident. Kindra L. Ward, Webster City, had reportedly struck a vehicle driven by Lois R. Keeling, Webster City, and Ward also hit a fire hydrant. Ward was traveling southbound and drove into the opposite lane, striking Keeling’s vehicle. Ward performed field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

Kindra L. Ward, Webster City, was arrested on Dec. 19 for operating while intoxicated, 2nd offense.

Christopher S. Fawcett, Stratford, was arrested on Dec. 18 and charged with domestic simple assault, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Dec 8, Barbara J. Pergande, Webster City, was cited into court on open burning due to open burning being prohibited in city ordinances.

William D. Espinoza Jr., Webster City, was arrested on Dec. 7 for the violation of a no-contact order.

Travis J. Peters, Webster City, was arrested on Nov. 24 and charged with driving while license suspended.

Charles G. Westfall, Webster City, was arrested on Nov. 16 for theft in the 5th degree.

A one-vehicle accident occurred on Dec. 18. Esther L. Long, Webster City, was eastbound in the parking lot in front of Pizza Hut when she struck the concrete base of a light pole. There was no damage to the pole. there was an estimated $1,000 in minor damage to Long’s vehicle.

A warrant to arrest Megan R. Farwell was served on Dec. 8.

A theft was reported on Nov. 15. An Iowa license plate was stolen off of a 2000 Buick Lesabre parked at 305 Fairmeadow Drive and the Lesabre was damaged on Nov. 14 also.

Evencio Martinez Hernandez, Webster City, was arrested on Dec. 8 and charged with the following offenses: drug/narcotic violations, drug equipment violations, driving while license barred and no valid insurance.

A two-vehicle accident occurred on Dec. 11. Eunice San Juan, Webster City, was turning from First St. onto southbound Des Moines St. San Juan reportedly stated her daughter call ed her and she was answering her cell phone as she was turning left and did not se Scotti K. Peterson, Webster City, traveling south. San?Juan’s right fender collided with the rear left tire of Peterson’s vehicle. Both vehicles received an estimate $500 in minor damage. San Juan was cited for failure to have a valid license.

On Dec. 11 Donald E. Rainey, Webster City, was leaving the air filling station at Casey’s General Store. As Rainey backed out, the right front bumper of his vehicle collided with a legally parked 2003 Nissan Altima. Rainey’s bumper scraped the driver’s side and broke the Altima’s rear lights, causing an estimated $1,500 in minor damage. Rainey’s vehicle received an estimated $500 in damage.

A two-vehicle accident occurred on Dec. 10. John M. Payne, Webster City, was traveling behind a school bus east on James St. The bus stopped to pick up children. Payne stopped behind the school bus. Westin W. Drummer, Webster City, was headed east on James St. when his vehicle struck the rear end of Payne’s vehicle. Drummer reportedly stated that he did not see Payne’s vehicle in front of him, and when he did, he tried to stop but his tires slipped on the road. Payne’s vehicle received an estimated $1,500 in minor damage. Drummer’s vehicle received an estimated $1,000 in functional damage.

Jesse J. Cherry, Woolstock, was traveling eastbound on Second St. Patricia A. Scott, Webster City, was stopped at the stop sign at the corner of Second St. and Seneca St. Scott entered the intersection traveling northbound and was struck by Cherry, who failed to yield the right of way from the stop sign. There were no injuries. Both vehicles received an estimated $500 in damage. The accident occurred on Dec. 10.

Michael J. Pruismann, Webster City, reported damaged to property at Vero Blue Farms on Nov. 29. Several windows were broken and damaged, resulting in $1,000 of damage.

Jacqueline J. Peterson, Webster City, reported the theft of $302 from her purse on Nov. 26.

Tyler R. Friddle, Webster City, was arrested on Nov. 26 for driving while license suspended.

Jeffery A. Holdgrafer, Webster City, was arrested on Nov. 9 for a school bus violation that occurred on Nov. 6.

An Apple iMac desktop computer, Apple iPod and a Sony Playstation 3 were reported stolen from the residence of Dustin J. Spangler, Webster City, on Dec. 7.

Travis J. Peters, Webster City, was arrested on Dec. 7 for drug equipment violations. Police reportedly recovered drug equipment, white granulated substance and a green frog bong.

On Nov. 7, a two-vehicle accident occurred in the Mertz Engineering parking lot. Darwin L. Peterson, Bode, was parked in the parking lot for deliveries. Peterson drove out of the parking spot, turned right and hit a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. There were no injuries. The Pontiac received an estimated $2,000 in functional damage.

Ronald T. Epps, Webster City, reported the vandalism of his truck on Dec. 5. The door was scratched. Estimated damage to the vehicle is $750.

The vandalism of a Chrysler PT Cruiser was reported on Dec. 5 at McDonald’s.

A warrant was served to arrest Anthony W. Birkey, Webster City, on Dec. 4.

Thefts occurred at Central Iowa Building and Supply on Dec. 2. Sixty-four gallons of fuel was siphoned from two pickup trucks, a 7-blade RV plug was cut off and stolen from a vehicle, 8 ratchet straps were taken and damage was done to the fuel tanks from which the fuel was siphoned.

Ryan J. Anderson, Webster City, was arrested on Dec. 2 for drug equipment violations.

On Nov. 12, Cherrie Miller, Overland Park, KS, reported the property of her late father, Duane Dingman. Dingman resided in Webster City. Reportedly stolen were a pair of cufflinks, valued at $150 and $20 in cash.

A one-vehicle accident occurred on Dec. 6. James D. Hill, Webster City, was traveling southbound on Grove St. Hill went around a legally parked tuck in the roadway. Hill overcorrected and went off the right side of the roadway. The front bumper of Hill’s vehicle struck the stop sign at the intersection of Grove St. and Second St. There were no injuries. Estimated damage to the stop sign was $20.00.

A two-vehicle accident occurred on Dec. 4 at the Webster City Post Office parking lot. A 2009 Dodge Ram was legally parked in the parking lot. Patty L. Noller, Webster City, backed out of an adjacent parking space and headed south out of the parking lot. The sun was obstructing Noller’s view. The right front bumper of Noller’s vehicle collided with the rear bumper of the Dodge Ram. There were no injuries. The Dodge Ram was occupied by the driver at the time of the collision.

Dawn M. Stufflebean, Webster City, and Karen L. Larsen, State City, were backing from parked postitions in the Kmart parking lot on Dec. 3. The rear left bumper of Stufflebean’s vehicle struck the right rear quarter panel of Larsen’s vehicle. There were no injuries reported.

Colby B. Butz, Webster City, was arrested on Nov. 30 for theft in the 5th degree after reportedly stealing a bottle of Templeton Rye liquor, valued at $37.99, from Kum and Go on Superior St.

Steven D. McFarland, Webster City, was arrested on Nov. 21 for driving while license revoked and leaving the scene of an injury accident.
