Readers Theatre will read ‘Love, Loss, and What I Wore’
“Love, Loss, and What I Wore” is this month’s selection for Webster City Community Theatre’s Readers Theatre. All are welcome to attend Sunday at 1001 Willson Avenue, Webster City.
The activity, which begins at 3:30 p.m., will be led by Loween Getter who saw this performed during the American Association of Community Theatre’s ACTFest in Des Moines last summer.
Nora Ephron and her sister Delia Ephron wrote this play, based on the book by Ilene Beckerman.Written for at least five women, the play is a series of monologues and ensemble pieces about women, their clothes, and the memories about events and what they wore. It covers subjects such as mothers, prom dresses, mothers, purses and why they only wear black.
Readers Theatre is a way for attendees to learn about the characters and subject of a play in an informal setting while sitting around the table, munching on treats and sipping a beverage. Bring a snack to share and your own beverage.
The November selection, “Twelve Angry Jurors” will be held on November 23 at 3 p.m. led by John Marvel.
