The fourth annual Coins for Cats Fundraiser that benefits Hamilton County Animal Advocates and The Cat Hut is going on now through August 8.

You can collect spare change and save lives.

To help, stop by the Cat Hut, 1118 Second Street in Webster City, to pick up a donation box to decorate or a cool blue coin collection cup. Fill your box or cup with loose change and bring it to WCFinancial Bank on Friday, August 8, between 3 and 4:30 p.m. to run through the coin counter.

You can also drop it off at The Cat Hut prior to August 8 and staff there will run your coins through the counter for you.

With more than 80 cats and kittens in its care, the generosity is greatly needed and appreciated. Plus, 100% of all donations through August 8 will be matched.

Best decorated box contest winners receive a $30 gift card to the Webster Theater, with one winner for each age group 0-7, 8-12 and 13-18.

In the CAT-egory of Most Money Raised, the winner gets a $30 gift card to the Webster Theater and a $50 gift card to Leon’s Pizza — one winner aged 18 and under and one winner aged 19 or older.

New this year are two raffle prize packages. Each $5 raised earns one raffle entry.

On August 8, two winners will be drawn with each raffle winner receiving a $30 gift card to Tic Tac Dough, plus a Cat Hut hat and Cat Hut keychain.
